Sully Group partner of Komeet: commitment and solidarity of our employees
April 17, 2025
Since November 2024, Sully Group has been committed to Komeet (an alliance of Vendredi and Wenabi) to :
- pursue our social commitment to our values of solidarity and sharing,
- encourage our employees to get involved with associations.
Isabelle, Applications Manager, Laurence, Applications Manager and Mathieu, Developer, share their experience of their assignments.
Why did you decide to get involved in a solidarity project?
Isabelle: "I wanted to take part in actions that made sense to me."
Laurence: "I took part out of both professional interest and personal conviction. For me, they were a great opportunity to put my time to good use in supporting associations."
Mathieu: “Taking part in solidarity missions via the Komeet platform helps me to feel involved and to continue to progress.”
Which association did you choose to work for?
Isabelle: "I worked for the ENVIE association, which manages the sale and reconditioning of household appliances in several French towns. ENVIE trains and employs people in professional reintegration situations."
Laurence: “I've worked with Probonolab, the Konexio association, the Food Bank and the Ballade association.”
Mathieu: “I've had the opportunity to work with the June association, as well as the Frequencies company.”
What did they need?
Isabelle: "The idea was to centralize the product catalogs of the various sites in France, to make the information more coherent and provide an overall view of the refurbished products available. In concrete terms, this involved accessing a list of equipment in an EXCEL file, then searching for a product in their application. We then had to complete the information by retrieving documentation and carrying out Internet searches.
Laurence: "The mission carried out with ProbonoLab consisted in drawing up specifications for the redesign of the Fédération Léo Lagrange website. For the project with the Ballade association, the requirement was for the design of a mobile music application."
Mathieu: "For the June association, the task was to create mock-ups on Figma for their future application. For Frequencies, I created 3D scenes using Blender, a tool I'd never used before."
Why did you choose these missions?
Isabelle: "The ENVIE mission seemed affordable to me, and I could easily adapt the timetable and the time spent. The association interested me because of its ecological (reducing waste and wastage) and social (professional reintegration) actions. The cause supported by the association was important to me, but the content of the mission was decisive."
Laurence: "My choices were mainly oriented towards assignments in line with my area of expertise (application development and project management), so as to be able to provide help that was both targeted and effective. First I selected the mission, then I took the time to discover the associations I was going to work with."
Mathieu: "Above all, I was looking for assignments in which I could put my skills to work for a worthwhile cause, while at the same time learning new tools or getting out of my comfort zone. The mission had to make sense to me, but the cause also played an important role. For example, at Frequencies, helping to make digital technology accessible to the visually and hearing impaired immediately appealed to me."
How did the mission go?
Isabelle: "My contact was out of the office, but I was able to quickly get all the information I needed to train and use the online tools. We communicated via messages on the platform and I always received quick answers. The documentation and videos were clear and practical. I didn't encounter any major difficulties in carrying out my tasks, and I was able to progress at my own pace, organizing myself as I wished. The assignment lasted around 6 weeks, with an average of 2 days a week (sometimes full days or several half-days spread over the week)."
Laurence: “On the whole, the missions went well and gave me experiences that were as rich as they were useful, both professionally and personally.”
Mathieu: "Very good! It was a pleasure to take over Figma and discover Blender, which enabled me to develop new skills. It was also very enriching to talk to Aurélien from Frequencies, who manages the digital side of things with a real social vision. I mainly worked on my own, while regularly talking to the people in charge of the projects to make sure that what I was proposing met their expectations. Each assignment lasted a few weeks, or even several months, while deliverables were produced and adjusted according to feedback."
What do you retain from this experience?
Isabelle: “The mission enabled me to diversify my activities and give them meaning, it helps the mind to stay alert, it's stimulating.”
Laurence: "These intermissions enabled me to strengthen my skills in project management and needs analysis, while giving meaning to my commitment. I learned how to frame projects effectively, collaborate with a variety of profiles, and be autonomous on concrete assignments. It's a rich experience that has strengthened my motivation to evolve in impact projects."
Mathieu: “A lot of positives: the satisfaction of feeling useful, learning new tools like Blender, and meeting passionate and committed people.”
To conclude, what would you like to add?
Isabelle: "Komeet gives you the chance to stay active while making yourself useful. I hope this system will continue and grow with even more opportunities, whatever our skills."
Laurence: “Real work is about giving meaning to what you do for others.”
Mathieu: “The Komeet platform is a real chance to continue learning, getting involved and feeling aligned with values of solidarity.”
