Sully at SIG 2025
November 17, 2025
Our GeoData team attended the SIG 2025 trade show to present our GIS offering.
SIG 2025 is the geo-event organized by Esri France that brings together the French-speaking community of Esri technology users every year to discuss geography and geographic information systems (GIS). On October 8 and 10, at Les Docks de Paris, more than 300 conferences, workshops, and activities related to geomatics took place.
Our colleagues, Frédéric DEBARD and Arthur LEDUCQ, led an interactive workshop entitled “What if your ESRI applications could open up to each other... in an instant?” They look back on the event.
What is SIG 2025 and why should you attend?
Frédéric: The GIS Expo is organized by ESRI, the leading American publisher of the ArcGIS solution. It is one of the annual events for the GIS community in France. It brings together more than 3,500 participants, users, partners, integrators, and data acquisition specialists. It is an opportunity to discover new products, talk to the publisher, and meet all the players in the ecosystem.
Arthur: It is a great opportunity for networking. It allows us to raise our profile, meet customers, and also potential future employees.
What was the purpose of Sully Group's presence?
Frédéric: Our main goal was to be seen as a key player in GIS. Having a well-placed booth, presenting our solutions, and participating in demonstrations really boosted our visibility. It allowed us to make contacts for future markets, and some customers approached us directly after the event.
Arthur: It's also an opportunity for the team to keep up with the latest technology and continue their training. We come away with an updated view of trends, innovations, and feedback from other users and partners.
What were the highlights of this edition?
Frédéric: The 2025 edition clearly focused on artificial intelligence. Many presentations and demonstrations focused on AI applied to ESRI products: code autocompletion, process orchestration, spatial analysis, etc. It's clear that the publisher is really investing in these areas, with tools that deliver real productivity gains.
Arthur: Mathematician Cédric Villani was also there to share his vision of AI. And beyond the plenary sessions, the workshops and demonstrations were very informative, particularly on the integration of technologies such as Flash Code and NFC to connect web and mobile applications and facilitate field management.
Can you tell us about your presentation at the trade show?
Frédéric: We ran a demonstration theater to show how ESRI solutions can be integrated with each other and with other applications without requiring heavy-duty development. We highlighted low-coupling technologies, such as Flash Code and NFC, to facilitate interaction between web and mobile applications.
Arthur: The idea was to show, for example, how a network manager can send a notification from a web application that will be received on a mobile device, allowing a field agent to update the GIS in real time simply by scanning a tag. These are concrete uses that appeal to local authorities and asset managers.
How is Sully Group's GIS division positioned?
Frédéric: Our expertise isn't limited to ESRI. We also work with open source technologies and offer complementary solutions, such as web and mobile development and hosting. This allows us to integrate GIS into broader information systems and create bridges between different business lines.
Arthur: Having both a specialized GIS division and general IT skills is a real strength. We can support our clients with all their issues, from the field to the IT department, and offer customized, innovative, and scalable solutions.
Any final thoughts?
Frédéric: Sully Group's medium size allows us to be agile, innovative, and close to our customers, while also having the capacity to integrate GIS into complex IT projects.
Arthur: The 2025 GIS Exhibition was a highlight that energized the team, allowed us to gauge the state of the market, and affirmed our presence. We are already looking ahead to the next edition, with the ambition to continue developing our offering and promoting our achievements to the GIS community.
