Sully Group participates in GeoDataDays 2022

Lucile, can you tell us about the GeoData team?

The GeoData division is composed of about twenty geomaticians with various profiles: Project Manager, Technical Expert, Consultant, Developer...
We intervene throughout the GeoData life cycle: in the study and implementation of GIS solutions, for consulting, assistance and support. We also manage geographic data in order to produce cartographic products according to the needs.
Our experts work on all types of technologies: Esri products, Open Source technologies, FME for data processing, web and mobile solutions... We have clients in the energy, transport, ministries and local authorities sectors, for fixed price services or technical assistance.

Stéphane, what did you expect from the participation to GeoDataDays?

We participated in the show for several reasons. The first goal was to make Sully known in the field of GeoData, knowing that we are coming out of a complicated health context.
It gave us the opportunity to meet prospects in different sectors of activity.
Participating in some conferences allowed us to keep ourselves informed of the issues and needs of the moment.

Lucile, have you identified common issues in terms of needs?

The current issues mainly revolve around the storage and exploitation of data. More and more devices allow to produce 3D or 2D data. However, this data is not always processed and distributed. It is therefore necessary to identify the use cases and implement the appropriate tools.
Many questions and reflections on the environmental impact and existing solutions to optimize the consumption of resources: storage, best practices ... for a more responsible digital.

The final word?

Lucile: "This event reinforced my idea of what tomorrow's GIS will be and allowed me to draw up a roadmap to continue to develop our offer.

Stéphane: "This event allowed us to reach our commercial objective which was to meet the main GIS actors and to develop our employer brand in a significant way. By the way, Camely (our mascot) will definitely remain the darling of GeoDataDays 2022."
